Donating clothes to the poor is a great way to help people in need. This includes the poor, as well as sadhus and sadhaks (people who practice spirituality) who live and meditate in Haridwar and Kashi. It also helps elderly widowed women in Vrindavan.
For a long time, it has been a special tradition in India for yogis and sadhus to meditate in these holy places. They do this to become pure and to help humanity. The peaceful surroundings, near to God and full of a special feeling, help them to focus and breathe in a way that leads to deep meditation and prayer. They are completely focused on their spiritual practices. Even though the weather is bad and they don't have enough food, they don't ask for anything from others.
Sadhus have given up all the comforts of the world. They spend their lives praying and serving others without expecting anything in return. We want to help these people who are meditating. We kindly ask and encourage you to help in any way you can. You can support these good people by giving them things they need, such as clothes, jackets, boots, and blankets. Your donations can make their journey and their important work much easier. Our Trust, with the help of our dedicated volunteers, gives these items to them.
